It all started in 2013 when three companies, Vitalux (predecessor of Vita Ambiental), Stemag and Restor, won the bidding to reduce water losses in water supply networks and optimize operations in the Jardim São Luiz sector, by then the largest water supply network of Sabesp, composing of 164 thousand water connections serving around 650 thousand people in four neighborhoods (Jardim São Luiz, Campo Limpo, Capão Redondo and Parque Fernanda). Lasting a total of 60 months, the performance contract involved an 18 month period for the implementation and pre-operation phase, followed by a performance evaluation phase (lasting 6 months) and, from then, the fixed pay phase. Although the last phase (lasting 36 months) only ends in 2018, works and services have already been concluded and have already “turned the key” with positive results during the six months of performance evaluation, surpassing by 51% the initial goal of reducing the available volume in the sector.
